I am a licensed professional counselor currently living in metro Atlanta. In 1994 I received my Bachelor’s of Arts degree and in 1995 received my Master’s degree from Duquesne University, which is located in the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, PA. While studying clinical psychology at Duquesne University I was trained in Existential Phenomenology, in addition to other therapeutic paradigms.

In 1990 while doing my undergraduate studies I began working for a local mental health agency. I started my career working with the developmental disability population before transitioning to work as a child and adolescent therapist. I eventually began working with adults with a variety of severe mental illnesses (Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Major Depression, Anxiety, and Schizoaffective Disorders), which has been my principal focus over the past ten years.

I truly enjoy providing mental health services to those in need. It is my belief that everyone deserves the chance to live life to the fullest. So whenever an individual, for whatever reason, struggles to successfully engage in the basic issues of life, I want to make sure, if it is in my power to do so that such persons have the wherewithal to succeed in the fundamentals of daily life.

In 2000 my wife and I moved from Pittsburgh to Metro Atlanta. Locating to the Atlanta area gave us both drivable accesses to both our families. We also like having immediate access to all the various amenities that this striving and vibrant city has to offer.

I love reading as I have this seemingly unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Reading also helps to keep me informed in the area of mental health so that I can be aware of the most effective and promising treatments available. I love to see clients both current and past who express to me the positive changes taking place in their lives, and am further humbled by the trust, confidence, and respect shown to me by my clients. It is inexplicably rewarding to do the job that ultimately brings such joy and satisfaction to both me and to the ones I serve.

In addition to reading I enjoy other hobbies such as exercising, which include walking, running, and workout using light weights. I believe it is critically important to keep the body as healthy as possible, and in doing so it allows me to give myself completely over to my clients without the negative distractions that can often be generated by my body.
